Rescue Tubes Save Lives

OUR MISSION

The Rescue Tube Foundation is dedicated to lowering the number of drowning deaths around the world by providing Public Access Rescue Tubes to protect rescuers in recreational waters.

Rescue Tubes stand guard 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Always swim near a lifeguard when possible. When not, Rescue Tubes are there for all of us. Let's enjoy our beautiful beaches and stay safe!

According to the world health organization:

  • Drowning is the third leading cause of unintentional deaths worldwide

  • There are an estimated 236,000 drowning deaths per year worldwide

  • Drownings account for 7% of all injury-related deaths

At the Rescue Tube Foundation, we responded to this water safety problem by helping to develop a public access personal floatation device system to reduce these avoidable deaths. In 2008, we began placing Public Access Rescue Tubes on the beaches of Hawaii. Soon, our efforts expanded to the U.S. mainland and now Canada. Our Rescue Tubes are designed to be available for anyone to use and protect themselves while they attempt to help a swimmer in distress.
