Rescue Tubes Save Lives
OUR MISSION
The Rescue Tube Foundation is dedicated to lowering the number of drowning deaths around the world by providing Rescue Tubes to protect rescuers at water recreational locations.
According to the World Health Organization:
-
Drowning is the third leading cause of unintentional deaths worldwide
-
There were over 320,000 drowning deaths in 2016 alone
-
Drownings account for 7% of all injury deaths
At the Rescue Tube Foundation, we responded to this problem by developing a system to help reduce these unnecessary deaths. In 2008, we began placing public access Rescue Tubes on the beaches of Hawaii. Soon, our efforts expanded to the U.S. mainland and now Canada. Our Rescue Tubes are designed to be available for anyone to use and protect themselves while they attempt to help a swimmer in distress.
